Estero Padre Ramos Natural Reserve

Estero Padre Ramos Natural Reserve is in the Northwest corner of Nicaragua along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. The natural reserve is covered in mangroves and thus is teaming with animal life as well as a wide variety of plant-life.

The Estero Padre Ramos Natural Reserve doesn't have a whole lot of tourists considering the beauty it offers. However it is a paradise for birdwatchers since the wetlands provide a perfect environment for a wide variety of birds. The coastline is also a hatching ground for sea turtles and offers large beach areas with little or no beachgoers.

There are of course local guides available as well as a rangers station where you can also find out about where to rent a boat to navigate through the wetlands.
